Initially, trust in a system is based on the way it is organised, its technology and its laws. The <strong>digital technologies<\/strong> are cross-cutting, touching on all aspects of social life and state action, but for the most part they remain the same. <strong>subject to legislation outside Europe<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The characteristics of <strong>blockchain<\/strong> (<em>blockchain<\/em>) seem to make it a <strong>ideal solution <\/strong>to create trust between players without resorting to a centralised solution provided by other state powers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La <strong>Cyber and Digital Sovereignty Chair - IHEDN<\/strong> organised a symposium on 29 April 2024 at the \u00c9cole Militaire (Paris 7). <strong>\u00abBlockchain, society and cybersecurity\u00bb<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aim of the event was to\u2019<strong>establish whether and how the <strong>blockchain<\/strong> is a long-term solution<\/strong> for societal and cyber security issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Authors of academic articles to be published in the special \u00abBlockchain and Society\u00bb issue of <a href=\"https:\/\/eska-publishing.com\/fr\/home\/761-journal-international-de-bioethique.html\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/eska-publishing.com\/fr\/home\/761-journal-international-de-bioethique.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">International Journal of Bioethics<\/a> and listeners to the <a href=\"https:\/\/ihedn.fr\/formation\/souverainete-numerique-cybersecurite-2023-2024\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Digital Sovereignty and Cybersecurity (SNC) major at the IHEDN National Session<\/strong><\/a>, from a variety of disciplines, shared their research and expertise on this technical and topical subject.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The conference addressed two main themes in round-table discussions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Blockchain, identity and sovereignty<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The benefits of blockchain for
