[VIDEO] «Blockchain, society and cybersecurity» conference (Paris, 29 April 2024)

The «Blockchain, society and cybersecurity» conference brought together nearly 80 participants on 29 April 2024 at the École Militaire (Paris 7e).

The question of trust between players in cyberspace is now at the heart of discussions about the security of information systems, the sharing of sensitive or critical data, and democratic issues. Initially, trust in a system is based on the way it is organised, its technology and its laws. The digital technologies are cross-cutting, touching on all aspects of social life and state action, but for the most part they remain the same. subject to legislation outside Europe.

The characteristics of blockchain (blockchain) seem to make it a ideal solution to create trust between players without resorting to a centralised solution provided by other state powers.

La Cyber and Digital Sovereignty Chair - IHEDN organised a symposium on 29 April 2024 at the École Militaire (Paris 7). «Blockchain, society and cybersecurity».

The aim of the event was to’establish whether and how the blockchain is a long-term solution for societal and cyber security issues.
